Best Diplomats is committed to equitable opportunity. The Global Scholarship Programme recognises people who show potential, purpose and the drive to make a difference in diplomacy and leadership.
There is no limit by age, region or education. Every application is assessed against the same criteria, and the scholarship may be awarded in full or in part for an upcoming conference.

Problem solving
Your response to a real diplomatic scenario, shared in the application form, showing analytical thinking, creativity and judgement.
Financial need
Considered from your personal statement and supporting context, so that resources reach those who need them most.
Previous participation
Past delegates are recognised for their continued commitment and given preference in nomination.
Previous awards
Winners of the Best Diplomat, Outstanding Diplomacy, Exceptional Leadership, Outstanding Negotiator or Best Diplomatic Stance awards are given preference.
Country representation
Best Diplomats country representatives are given preference in recognition of their role in promoting international diversity.
Terms
- Scholarships under either tier do not cover airfare, visa fees, travel or medical insurance, or any personal or incidental expenses. These are borne by the participant.
- Partial scholarships are granted as a fixed-value coupon code for the package awarded. The participant pays the remaining balance to complete registration.
- Scholarship places cannot be transferred to another person or another conference.
- The selection committee may allocate a scholarship to any conference organised by Best Diplomats or its partners, including Impact Directors.
- Scholars receive the official invitation letter through the Best Diplomats app. Visa decisions rest with the embassy or consulate of the destination country.

Who can apply?
Anyone. The programme is open to students and professionals of any age, region or educational background. Selection is on merit.
Is it a full or partial scholarship?
Either. The award depends on the strength of the application and the applicant's financial need, as assessed by the selection committee.
What does the scholarship cover?
The conference fee, in full or in part, for the accommodation package (Tier 1) or the non-accommodation package (Tier 2). It never covers airfare, visa fees, travel or medical insurance, or personal expenses.
Is there an application fee?
Yes, $250 plus processing charges. It covers the evaluation and administration of the programme and is not deducted from any conference fee.
What happens if I am not selected?
The $250 fee is refunded as a credit voucher, valid for one year towards any Best Diplomats conference or programme. You may reapply one month after the decision.
How long does the selection take?
Results and next steps are sent within 10 working days of the application fee being received.
How is a partial scholarship paid?
As a fixed-value coupon code for the package you were awarded. You pay the remaining balance to complete registration.
Will I get documents for my visa?
Yes. Selected scholars receive the official invitation letter through the Best Diplomats app. Visa decisions rest with the embassy or consulate; Best Diplomats is not responsible for refusals.
Can I transfer my place?
No. Scholarship places cannot be transferred to another person or another conference, in any circumstances.
Which conference will I attend?
The selection committee allocates scholarships to any conference organised by Best Diplomats or its partners, including Impact Directors.
Are recommendation letters required?
No, but strong recommendations from academic institutions, NGOs or diplomatic bodies strengthen an application, particularly for a full scholarship.
Can past delegates apply?
Yes. Previous attendees, award winners and country representatives are given preference.
