Best Diplomats, a diplomatic stimulation organization, organizes diplomatic conferences in Turkey earlier this year. Faculty from Üsküdar University attended “the Best Diplomats International Conference”. Prof. Havva Kök Arslan, Head of the Political Sciences and International Relations (English) Department of Üsküdar University, and Instructor Dilek Batur, Coordinator of Foreign Languages, gave presentations as part of the conference.
The objective of Best Diplomats is to develop in potential future diplomats, the skills of diplomacy, leadership, and formulating public policy. Best Diplomats is adamant that developing diplomatic abilities is essential for managing the complexities of our global environment. It acknowledges that achieving sustainable solutions and fostering good change depend on competent leadership. The organization also emphasizes the value of developing negotiation skills to deal with complex issues and promote win-win solutions.
During the conference, Mr Fawad, general director of the Best Diplomats, gave a lecture on the topic of diplomacy and negotiations with the title “Diplomacy Beyond Barriers.” Mr Fawad added, “We would like to visit Üsküdar University in March to discuss further in order for our students to participate in future diplomatic conferences to be held in Istanbul.” He then went on to say that they look forward to working with Üsküdar University in the future.
